ChurchFam

Overview
ChurchFam is a private community app for churches: posts, prayer requests, events, groups, and a member directory, with no ads and no algorithm. I designed, built, and shipped it solo as a full production product: native iOS and Android apps, a web app for church signup, billing, and admin, and a marketing site.
The Challenge
Churches default to Facebook Groups or GroupMe, tools built for engagement, not for church families, and pastors push back on adding "yet another app." I had to ship a secure, store-approved product across iOS, Android, and web as one person, with limited time and a bootstrapped budget.
The Plan
I positioned ChurchFam to replace a church's existing group, not add another app, and made prayer requests the core experience, with privacy enforced in the database. I chose a lean, proven stack (Flutter, Next.js on Vercel, Supabase, Stripe) with staging, monitoring, and CI, and directed AI coding agents from my own specs and designs.
The Results
ChurchFam 1.0 is live on both app stores, ahead of its Sept 21, 2026 conference launch. Android passed Google Play review on Sept 6, and Apple approved iOS on Sept 9 after one round of reviewer questions. The web app, billing, and admin portal went live alongside it, and updates keep shipping.
